A mid-morning arrival in London.

The only way to justify this eastbound flight would be to say it was a “repositioning flight.” So we’ll go with that.

Departed Runway 15 out of Bangor, hit BHB and MVM on the way.

Touchdown on Runway 33.

Now, see, a westbound 747 landing in Bangor could be any number of diversions. That said, we’ll say that this was a flight destined to pick up stray passengers who had been diverted the night before.

Not the most direct of routes.

Can’t say that I see American Airlines operating a direct flight between Manchester, England and Bangor, Maine, anytime soon. So we’ll pretend that there was a “medical emergency” on board and thus I landed in Bangor.

“Picking up stranded passengers in Bangor.”

Similar to Bangor’s unfortunate plight regarding a Manchester flight, I doubt that Virgin Atlantic will start a direct service from Bangor to London Heathrow anytime soon. That said, I took it upon myself to fly to Bangor from England’s capital…just because.

A bit more direct than the American fella was coming in.
